What Are You Longing For?I ask you from your point of view as leader and as a person.
Perhaps it’s that you will soon be able to travel to distant countries again?
Or do you have a deeper desire?
And perhaps one that you’ve held for a long time?
Maybe it's this often deeply buried longing to understand:
"Who am I?" - beyond all my roles.
Have you ever thought about leaving everything behind to find your answer? The good news is that you don't have to quit your job to find your answer. In fact, quite the contrary! As a former leader at a top global pharmaceutical company, I know that the ideal place to learn and grow is in the workplace.
Lives - and business results - change in the working world when a self-aware leader enters someone's life.
Every company wants to grow and increase sales and profits.
Bigger goals require people to achieve bigger goals.
The key lies with self-aware leaders.

Today, I help leaders get to know themselves in their day-to-day work.
Successful leaders who want to understand who they are, come to me.
They don't wait until retirement age.
Top performers who want to live their full potential - and incidentally - become even more successful – come to me.
"Knowing who I am"
if this is also your desire, then we should get to know each other.

"It's unbelievable
the ease with which you recognize things and get to the point.""Herlinde
you are the only one in management who questions herself."
This is some of the most meaningful feedback I received during my corporate life. And it motivates me to share my extensive knowledge as a business enabler and systemic coach and team developer.
Was it only I who was interested in personal development as a manager?
Impossible: Because every company wants to grow and increase sales: We all know that. But bigger goals require people to achieve those bigger goals.A lot helps a lot – as in "work more, then more comes out." But this is old school – so old that my chemistry teacher disproved this theory many years ago.
In everyday life, the leader so far has been on his/her own.
If something is not going well – if, for example, the results of an employee survey are disappointing, often the manager is "zoomed" and "fixed.” But once back in everyday work life, the manager is left to his/her own devices again.I was asked by a customer just recently: “Herlinde, can you please let the air out of this situation?”
My answer: Gladly - at any time - short and crisp and systematically. I believe that a consultant should only accept an assignment if it makes him or her fundamentally dispensable. And this is what happens very efficiently with my scientifically based Leadership GPS:
Growing during the daily routine.
Do you know a leader who has successfully developed their leadership style in the course of their working life?
Only 15 percent of those surveyed said yes.
But you can change that.

**7 questions for Herlinde Schneider **
Interview with etextera, January 14th, 2021 – English version
**1. Which quote touches you particularly and why? **
"I Have a Dream" by Martin Luther King touched and fascinated me as a young girl. His famous speech hung above my bed. I could sense the magic that I experience today: it takes big goals in bright colors to make a difference.
**2. How do you think we will communicate in ten years? **
We humans need to exchange ideas. The best way to do that is in-person. But online exchange platforms are becoming the standard. However, many company employees are already today turning off their cameras when communicating online for several reasons. I.e., I think we will be talking more on the phone again to concentrate on what the other person said and the way it was expressed – especially in one-on-one conversations.
**3. What do you like about your job? **
The people. At some point, you get to know all the methods and systems. That's how it was when I was an authorized signatory at Novartis in Germany. I always was inspired by impressive leaders. Today they come to me to learn how to continually develop their leadership behavior even further. It is such a gift to introduce the tools and then see them in action as the leaders manage them themselves.
**4. Work time and private life are increasingly becoming blurred in many professions. How do you protect yourself from constant accessibility? **
I'm most productive late at night and so I make a ritual of my daytime lunch breaks; for one or two hours, I turn off my cell phone and go out and enjoy nature. On Sundays, I don't check anything until the evening. I also have the attitude that when my phone rings I am going to hear good news.
**5. How do you start the day? **
I'm a big fan of the "right" initial energy in the morning and with every new task. My husband and I have breakfast together, then I get on my trampoline and meditate briefly. In between everything throughout the day, it helps me to ask myself, "Am I as relaxed as I can be right now?" If not, I readjust.
**6. When do you let your head decide, and when your gut? **
For me, it's a mix. For mathematical equations I rely on my mind; for creative tasks, I listen to my gut. I also have learned to follow my intuition when things are complex – intuition has been scientifically proven to be the best way.
**7. Do you have a recipe for dealing with difficult people? **
I love all people. I guess it’s because I have an identical twin sister. Also, we are different. This fact has taught me over the years that everyone has a reason for their behavior. I hold a welcoming space by knowing that there are reasons behind the behavior and by fully respecting the individual. My other half is more open with me because of this learned trait.
